Objective of job
Act as the technical lead and software domain architect for the ZCU (Zone Control Unit) platform, responsible for defining, governing and evolving the end-to-end software architecture & software technical solution within the specified time, quality and cost targets.
Define the ZCU software domain architecture and platform solution, covering layered architecture (application, service, middleware, OS), and ensure alignment with the zone-oriented E/E architecture and vehicle network topology.
Make and govern key technical decisions across the full software stack, including but not limited AUTOSAR AP/CP Platform, hypervisor, middleware (SOA, SOME/IP, DDS, IPC), and vehicle-grade communication (CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet, LIN).
Lead architecture reviews, technical evaluations and trade-off analyses; identify, escalate and resolve architectural risks, dependencies and technical blockers to secure SW delivery.
Steer the technical direction together with engineering team in a matrix setup & lead for implementation from technical wise, and ensure architecture conformance and quality across components.
Collaborate cross-domain with vehicle architecture, E/E architecture, cyber security, functional safety and domain teams to confirm interface definitions, service decomposition and design matching.
Main Tasks
1. Act as ZCU Software domain Architect & Technical Lead:
Define, document and govern the ZCU software architecture (layered architecture, service decomposition, middleware, OS) for the zone control unit platform
Make and steer key technical decisions across AUTOSAR AP / hypervisor and vehicle communication (CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet, SOME/IP, SOA)
Conduct architecture reviews, trade-off analysis and technical evaluations; ensure architecture conformance and quality
2. Steer the technical direction of the engineering team in a matrix setup & lead for implementation:
Identify, escalate and resolve architectural risks, dependencies and technical blockers to secure SW delivery
3. Cross-domain & supplier collaboration:
Align ZCU architecture with vehicle E/E architecture, cyber security and functional safety teams
Support surrounding development processes and architecture governance to cover the complete lifecycle of continuous implementation, integration and testing
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor or above in computer science, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field.
Experience
8+ years of experience in embedded software development, with 3+ years as software domain architect or technical lead for automotive domain controller / zone controller products.
Solid experience in E/E architecture and zone-oriented vehicle network design; deep understanding of ZCU/zone controller software platform and solution.
Proven track record of defining and governing software architecture across a heterogeneous tech stack.
Deep knowledge of automotive operating systems and platforms: AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive, hypervisor and virtualization.
Strong understanding of vehicle communication protocols: CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, SOA, SOME/IP, LIN, and middleware/service frameworks.
Familiar with automotive software processes and methods, e.g. ASPICE, Agile/Scrum; understanding of functional safety (ISO 26262) and cyber security (ISO 21434) is a plus.
Experience in SW supplier technical management: architecture evaluation, solution alignment, planning, progress and risk management.
Experience with model-based and architecture description tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect, PREEvision, UML/SysML).
Strong analytical and decision-making skills; able to steer technical direction in a matrix organization without direct line management.
Excellent verbal and written English capability.
