Join Nestlé China’s China Sourcing Team and help shape competitive, resilient packaging supply for Nestle global and regional markets. In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing in China and supplier development across various material categories, such as metal, paper, plastic, glass, partnering with internal parties like global procurement, R&D, quality, supply chain and business teams to support new product development and market needs.
You will influence more than US$50 million in annual spend while balancing cost, quality, service, compliance and continuity of supply. You need to build market insight, supplier network and sourcing discipline and directly support innovation, business continuity planning and sustainable value creation across Nestlé markets.
Key Responsibilities: What you will deliver in this role
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing projects for packaging materials, from supply-market analysis and competitive bidding through supplier identification and development
• Build and execute aligned category strategies using Nestlé’s 7SSS process, manage total-cost-of-ownership analysis and risk assessment.
• Identify, assess and develop suppliers in China and other best-cost sourcing origins to strengthen cost competitiveness and supply resilience.
• Partner with new product development and market teams to deliver sourcing solutions that meet launch timing, quality, cost and service expectations.
• Manage supplier performance and relationships, including improvement plans, responsible sourcing requirements and business continuity readiness.
• Monitor packaging supply market updates, cost drivers, logistics, regulations and emerging risks; translate insights into clear recommendations and contingency actions.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, supplier standards, approval processes and competitive-bidding requirements.
• Support cross-market problem solving and global procurement initiatives while maintaining strong stakeholder satisfaction.
