CONTEXT
The Asia Product Conception Center (AP2C), based at the Shanghai Chinalab, is recruiting its future talents to support the development of our global innovations.
Within the Quality department your role consists of Field Test Engineer.

YOUR MISSION
As part of the Quality team, you will ensure—in real-world conditions and directly with our users—that our products perfectly meet our quality, performance, and safety requirements.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Developing Field Test Engineer (FTE), you will drive the scientific and sensory validation of products within your Sports Category. Working in close collaboration with the design teams (Product Managers, Designers, Engineers), your missions will focus on 3 main pillars:

Technical Test Management
●Frame and build field test protocols by integrating Decathlon's Quality methodologies.
●Implement and execute tests: from recruiting tester panels to conducting measurements directly in the field.
●Analyze, model, formalize, and deliver results to the project team, using statistical and digital tools to process large volumes of data.
●Improve product durability by collaborating with laboratory test engineers to correlate field data with predictive lab tests.

Partner Management & Leadership
●Manage external partners.
●Grow the tester community and guarantee the reliability of their feedback.
●Define and pilot the 3-year test workload and maintain strict budget tracking.

Strategic Vision and Evolution
●Guarantee the neutrality of results in the face of business challenges.
●Propose innovative processes to optimize product feedback loops.

YOUR PROFILE
Technical Skills & Experience (Hard Skills)
●You have successful previous experience in product development or production.
●You have a strong attraction for statistical analysis and digital tools (mass data collection tools).
●You understand project milestones and their associated Quality fundamentals.
●Fluency in both Chinese and English is mandatory.

Human Qualities (Soft Skills)
●You are methodical, fact-based, and recognized for your objectivity (unbiased).
●You are passionate about and actively practice sports.
