SUMMARY AND KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES:
Wuxi process development analytical science team is seeking a
skilled and highly motivated candidate to fill a Sr. Scientist to director
level position (depending on candidate’s experience) in Wuxi. This position will
work collaboratively in cross-functional teams on a range of programs. The
candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment to utilize skills in
partnership with internal and external experts.
l Lead a team of scientists in analytical science team to
support in a broad range of biologic projects
l Oversee all aspects of structural characterization work of
protein therapeutics, including but not limited to SEC, IEX, titer, CE-SDS,
icIEF, mass spectrometry
l Develop and implement novel LC-MS based analytical methods to
support in-depth characterization of biologics and other new modalities (AAV,
mRNA, oligonucleotide etc), including but not limited to intact mass, cIEF-MS,
peptide mapping, disulfide mapping and glycan analysis
Support technical transfer, training and trouble-shooting of
protein production for CMC development purposes
REQUIREMENTS:
You love analytics and are passionate about using data to drive
key business decisions. You love learning new technological skills and working
through collaboration. You will provide expertise in the field of in-depth
protein analysis as it pertains to biologics characterization and other novel
therapy related work with possibility to support other modalities as
opportunities arise.
l Direct expertise in protein characterization or in mass
spec-based proteomics (DDA, MRM, PRM et al.) is required. Previous experience
in protein characterization of biologics and/or glycoproteins using peptide
mapping, intact protein analysis is preferred.
l In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in different types
of analytical separation techniques and data processing analyses with focus on
mass spectrometry applications.
l Knowledge of other analytical techniques such as
chromatography (HPLC/UPLC), electrophoresis (CE-SDS, icIEF), biophysical
methods and DNA analysis
l Broad expertise and familiarity with protein and antibody
production and CMC development
l Thorough understanding of biochemistry and structural biology
l Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills,
capabilities in experimental design and execution, ability to work on multiple
projects simultaneously, as well ability to work independently and collaborate
cross-functionally
EDUCATION (Indicate the mini. requirement & preferred discipline):
l Ph.D.
Major：Analytical
chemistry/ Biochemistry/Biophysics/Protein Chemistry, or related field
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE:
l Good communication skills required, speaks fluent English
