What you'll do
As the Head of Merchandising for the Europe Region, you will lead the regional merchandising strategy and operations across multiple brands, responsible for product assortment planning, buying, inventory management, and commercial optimization across all channels. You will collaborate closely with global merchandising, supply chain, retail, and marketing teams to ensure the right product mix reaches the right markets at the right time, driving both top-line revenue and healthy inventory turnover.
In this role, you will:
Manage a team of merchandising and logistics professionals.
Lead merchandising for multiple brands including but not limited to Anta, Fila, Salomon, Wilson, Descente, and any brands launching in the region in the future.
Develop multi-brand product merchandising mix for the region, ensuring strategy is properly coordinated with local teams and implemented efficiently to achieve business goals across offline and online channels.
Manage the full buying cycle from budgeting to product launch, covering seasonal and annual buying processes.
Formulate buying strategies, develop OTB plans, and allocate product mix to optimize sales plans and gross margin.
Regularly track sales trends and provide relevant strategies to accomplish business objectives.
Work closely with Operations and Marketing teams to maximize top-line revenue and minimize inventory.
Analyze data to formulate product plans and solutions that fit business needs and cater to market trends.
Conduct and analyze regular buying and selling related reports.
Conduct shop visits and travel regularly for trade shows as required.
What you'll bring
Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in the retail industry, with solid retail buying experience including planning and budgeting
Proven experience in a managerial or leadership capacity within merchandising or buying
Given the role’s responsibility for the European market, familiarity with local retail dynamics is critical for success.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Experience in the sports, fashion, or consumer goods industries
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a strong plus
Passionate about sports is a must
Travel
This role requires regular travel across the Europe region for shop visits, trade shows, and market research. Occasional travel to global headquarters may also be required.
