KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES
Define and own the long-term technical and scientific strategy for AI-enabled antibody de novo design, aligning priorities with organizational goals and therapeutic pipelines.
Lead antibody design platform that supports multi-modal models (sequence, structure, language models, diffusion/generative approaches) and seamless experimental integration.
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performance team of algorithm scientists, computational biologists, software engineers, and data scientists.
Partner closely with experimental biology and project teams to close the loop between in silico design and in vitro/in vivo results.
Own external scientific engagement: represent the organization at conferences, lead collaborations with academic and industry partners, and drive publication and IP strategy.
Ensure governance for sensitive datasets, ethical use of AI, and compliance with data sharing and IP policies.
Qualifications
PhD in computational biology, Artificial Intelligence, computer science, or related field; exceptional candidates with MS plus extensive industry leadership experience will be considered.
5+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in leadership roles driving AI protein/antibody de novo design.
Deep technical expertise in modern ML approaches for proteins (large protein language models, transformers, diffusion/generative models, structure-aware architectures), and familiarity with tools such as AlphaFold, Rosetta, MD workflows.
Practical understanding of antibody sequence/structure relationships, CDR engineering, developability assessment, immunogenicity prediction, and experimental validation workflows.
Excellent cross-functional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated track record of delivering research-to-product outcomes: deployed platforms, successful project translations, patents, and peer-reviewed publications is a plus.
