Responsibilities:
• Participate in and support Ford's IP-related transactions, deals, cooperation projects, and other growth initiatives, including matters involving licensing, technology transfer, joint development, and other IP commercialization arrangements; review, draft, and negotiate related IP transaction agreements.
• Coordinate with global and local IP team and other legal colleagues to identify, assess, and mitigate IP-related legal risks arising from business transactions and operations.
• Provide legal advice and analysis on purchasing matters, including purchasing procedures, agreement templates, deviation reviews, supplier disputes, and related commercial issues.
• Conduct legal research and analysis in connection with technology transactions, IP policy, purchasing matters, and other assigned areas of responsibility.
• Provide legal support to the business operations of Ford China and its affiliates, working closely with business functions including Marketing, Sales & Services, Purchasing, Digital, Engineering/R&D.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
1.Education:
• Law degree from a reputable PRC law school is required; a law degree from an Anglo-American jurisdiction is a plus.
2.Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of legal professional experience in multinational corporations or reputable law firms.
• Experience with IP-related transactions, such as licensing, technology transfer, technology cooperation agreements, and IP due diligence in M&A or joint venture transactions, is preferred.
• Experience in the automotive industry and joint ventures is preferred.
• Experience in purchasing, and litigation-related matters is preferred.
3.Certifications:
• Passed the PRC Judicial Examination.
• China Patent Attorney Qualification (Patent Bar) is a plus.
4.Skills:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to draft legal documents in both languages.
• Well-organized and able to work independently under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Quick learner with strong analytical skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to help clients achieve business objectives within applicable legal and compliance constraints.
