About the Role:
As an individual contributor manager in Total Rewards, this role is responsible for the design, evaluation and governance of compensation, benefits and incentive policies. The role is expected to provide forward-looking and practical recommendations based on market practice, complex data analysis and business judgment, supporting management in making effective total rewards decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Policy and Structure Design: Lead market benchmarking analysis, design and optimize salary structures, pay ranges, merit increase and pay determination policies, ensuring external competitiveness, internal equity and long-term executability.
Incentive Policy Design: Lead the research, design and optimization of company-level incentive policy frameworks, including scope of application, eligibility, payment rules, governance principles and operating processes, ensuring alignment with business needs, talent strategy and market practice.
Benefits Strategy and Cost Management: Evaluate and optimize employee benefits policies and vendor solutions, balancing employee experience, cost efficiency and compliance requirements, and provide measurable and executable benefits strategy recommendations.
Annual Planning and Data Analysis: Play a core role in annual compensation budgeting, merit increase planning and benefits cost planning. Apply complex data analysis to generate management insights and support key compensation decisions.
Complex Project and Policy Transformation: Independently lead complex Total Rewards projects and policy transformation initiatives, including issue diagnosis, data analysis, solution design, implementation and post-implementation review, ensuring solutions balance business needs, employee experience, cost efficiency and compliance requirements.
Policy Communication and Implementation Enablement: Design communication strategies and materials for complex Total Rewards policies and projects, conduct briefings for management, HRBP and business teams, and drive stakeholder understanding, alignment and execution of implementation requirements.
Local Support of Global Projects: Support the assessment, localization and implementation of global Total Rewards projects in China, providing local recommendations based on business context, regulatory requirements and operational realities, and driving effective execution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Law or a related discipline.
8+ years of experience in total rewards, compensation and benefits policy design or related management areas, with experience independently leading complex policy design or cross-functional projects. Experience in a large multinational company is preferred.
Strong understanding of total rewards methodologies, with solid capabilities in policy design, data modeling, cost analysis and compliance judgment, and the ability to translate complex issues into clear and executable solutions.
Strong business acumen, cross-functional influence and written communication skills in both Chinese and English, with the ability to provide sound professional recommendations to management and drive alignment.
