Assistant Manager - Credit Operations (Banking / Financial Institution)

Minimum 5 years of experience in banking industry

Degree in BBA or Finance is preferred

With hands-on exposure to mortgage / loan or dept

Company Background:

Our client is a well-established public financial institution with strong government backing, dedicated to providing stable and sustainable mortgage and insurance programmes to the community. We are currently seeking a high-calibre professional to join their Insurance Business Operations Department – Credit Operations Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough loan assessment and credit evaluation for government-backed mortgage and insurance programmes

Manage end-to-end loan administration and servicing processes for government-backed mortgage and insurance programmes

Monitor and follow up on delinquent loans (MIP) and loans with maturity events (RMP/PRMP) in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Prepare regular management reports and participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related disciplines

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, with hands-on exposure to mortgage operations, loan administration, or debt collection. Experience in mortgage underwriting is a definite advantage

Solid knowledge of Hong Kong's mortgage and property market

Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data analysis for reporting)

Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Putonghua

- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Senior Associate.

Contract & Benefits:

1-year renewable contract (Hire of Service)

15 days annual leave

Public holidays, paid annual leave / sick leave in accordance with the Employment Ordinance

10% contract gratuity upon successful completion

Overtime pay / shift allowance at $150/hour (occasional overtime required, approximately 1–2 hours on busy days)
