Lead development team for internal business application projects
Drive system enhancements, API/EDI integration and support
Work closely with users and China teams on IT initiatives
Our client is a well-established manufacturing group. with production facilities and business operations across Hong Kong and Mainland China. They are currently expanding their IT team to support digital transformation initiatives and internal business system enhancements.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Project Managers, business stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver application enhancements and system implementation projects.
Lead and mentor a development team in designing, developing, and maintaining internal business applications.
Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional and technical design specifications.
Oversee system development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
Provide ongoing application support, troubleshooting, and system optimization for daily operations.
Identify emerging technologies, development tools, and automation opportunities to improve system performance and development efficiency.
Participate in ad hoc technology projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
Degree or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of application development experience.
Solid knowledge of C#, VB.NET, XML, API integration, and EDI-related development.
Strong experience in SQL programming, database design, and data management.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Independent, proactive, and capable of making decisions with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Effective communication skills in both English and Chinese.
Willingness to travel to Mainland China occasionally for project implementation and business support.
