The Role

Transaction Oversight: Act as the primary operational checker to review, verify, and approve daily teller transactions, cash management, and counter-service operations in compliance with bank policies and HKMA regulations.

Team Supervision: Guide, mentor, and supervise frontline tellers to ensure high service standards, operational accuracy, and adherence to branch workflows.

Risk & Control: Monitor cash limits, identify operational anomalies, prevent fraud, and maintain strict control over vault cash and negotiable instruments.

Compliance & Audit: Ensure all customer instructions, account maintenance, and branch operations meet internal audit requirements and KYC/AML guidelines.

Issue Resolution: Handle complex customer queries and escalations at the counter, providing effective on-the-spot solutions.

Branch Support: Collaborate with the Branch Manager to streamline daily branch operations and support audit readiness.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of retail banking operations experience, with hands-on background as a senior teller or operations checker.

Product Knowledge: Solid understanding of branch operations, cash handling, HKD/foreign currency exchange, remittance, and general counter services.

Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with Hong Kong banking regulations, internal risk controls, and AML/KYC compliance standards.

Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and solid leadership skills to manage a frontline team.

Language Skills: Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
