A well-established investment banking platform is seeking a senior operations professional to lead the well established operation team.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of operations professionals and maintain high standards of accuracy, timeliness and service delivery.
Oversee a broad range of securities operations, including event-driven transactions, client or issuer servicing, and exceptional or time-critical cases.
Manage escalations, operational incidents and execution risks; implement sustainable corrective actions and stronger controls.
Deliver business transformation, process improvement, automation, regulatory change and new-product initiatives.
Partner closely with front office, technology, risk, compliance, legal and external market participants on operational matters and project delivery.
Improve workflows, governance, capacity planning and operating procedures to support business growth and operational resilience.
Coach and develop team members, promote accountability and build a collaborative, high-performing culture.
Prepare management updates and represent Operations in working groups, steering committees and stakeholder discussions.
Requirements
Degree holder with 12+ years of relevant experience in securities operations, post-trade services, corporate actions, settlement or a related area.
At least 6 years' experience leading and developing operations teams.
Solid knowledge of Hong Kong securities-market practices and operational controls; regional or international market exposure is preferred.
Demonstrated project-management experience, ideally involving automation, regulatory implementation, process redesign or new-business launches.
Strong judgement in handling operational risk and complex stakeholder matters.
Effective communicator with the confidence to engage senior internal stakeholders, clients and external counterparties.
Self-driven, detail-conscious and solutions-oriented.
Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.
