TI Senior Commercial Officer

This request is to backfill a critical Senior Commercial Officer position in FIN STG CN to ensure business continuity in Taiwan. As the sole commercial finance professional supporting the service business in the country, this role is essential for managing the financial and commercial aspects of all local projects.

To meet these business needs, this role definition focuses on two primary areas: Commercial order management and financial controlling & compliance. The first area covers the end-to-end financial lifecycle of service orders/projects, from contract drafting and forecasting to risk management and invoicing. The second ensures that all project activities adhere to both internal Siemens Energy standards and mandatory local Taiwanese financial regulations, including tax handling, audit support and revenue recognition.

Given the focus on independent project execution and strict financial oversight, the ideal candidate will possess advanced experience in commercial project management within an industrial service environment. A strong background in financial controlling, budgeting, and a thorough understanding of Taiwanese accounting principles are required to succeed in this standalone role.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Commercial order/project management (60%)

•Manage the complete commercial lifecycle of service projects, including calculation, financial planning, forecasting, and controlling.

•Identify, evaluate, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project duration.

•Oversee project invoicing, billing processes, and accounts receivable management to ensure timely cash flow.

•Collaborate with the local sales team to draft and review formal contracts and Letters of Agreement (LoA).

•Compile and analyze monthly forecasting reports, including cost center reports and project financial statements.

•Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal project teams.

Financial controlling & compliance (40%)

•Ensure all project accounting, including revenue recognition, complies with Siemens Energy guidelines and local Taiwanese regulations (e.g., IFRS).

•Execute month-end and quarter-end closing activities for projects, including cost accruals, and variance analysis.

•Lead the coordination and preparation of supporting documents for internal and external audits of the service business.

•Collaborate with the central finance team to ensure data integrity and alignment on reporting standards.

•Manage data entry and validation checks within financial planning systems (e.g., EPM Plus).

What You Bring

•Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

•Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in commercial project management, project controlling, or a similar financial role within an industrial or service-oriented business.

•Demonstrated experience with local Taiwanese accounting standards and financial regulations is highly desirable.
