Imagine being the key driver of Environment, Quality, and Safety excellence across Grid Technologies Service operations in Greater China. As the EQS Officer, you help transform corporate EHS and quality requirements into practical actions that support field service teams, project organizations, suppliers, and customers. Working closely with operational leaders, project managers, and regional stakeholders, you strengthen risk management, compliance, and operational discipline while fostering a culture of Zero Harm and continuous improvement. Through governance, digitalization, and stakeholder engagement, you help ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable business performance.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS management systems in compliance with Chinese regulations, Siemens Energy requirements, and ISO standards, while serving as the Management Representative for the integrated management system.
Drive EHS governance, compliance monitoring, risk assessments, audits, inspections, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs to ensure effective risk mitigation and operational excellence.
Support project teams throughout project lifecycles by defining EHS requirements, providing governance for high-risk activities, contractor management, and emergency preparedness.
Manage incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons-learned sharing to strengthen organizational learning and improve EHS performance.
Support supplier and subcontractor qualification, EHS assessments, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive EHS training, awareness campaigns, competency development, and employee engagement programs to strengthen a Zero Harm culture.
Act as the local key user and process owner for Enablon and other EHS digital platforms, ensuring reporting accuracy, data quality, compliance, and user adoption.
Utilize data analytics, digital tools, and AI-enabled insights to enhance risk identification, reporting efficiency, and management decision-making.
Promote quality awareness, documentation discipline, non-conformance follow-up, corrective action tracking, and lessons-learned sharing while coordinating with quality experts and business owners.
Serve as the EQS focal point across service operations, communicating risks, performance, compliance requirements, and improvement opportunities to management and stakeholders.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or above in Safety Engineering, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related discipline; quality-related qualifications are an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant EHS experience within service operations, project environments, industrial operations, or engineering businesses.
Strong knowledge of Chinese EHS legislation, compliance management, risk control, incident investigation, audits, assurance activities, and CAPA processes.
Advanced knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems; basic knowledge of ISO 9001 is required.
Certified Safety Engineer (CSE) or equivalent EHS qualification is preferred; ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 auditor certifications are advantageous.
Experience in supplier and contractor EHS management, including qualification, assessment, and performance improvement.
Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, training, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate EHS trends and quality-governance insights into practical business actions.
Experience working with digital platforms, reporting systems, and data analytics tools; experience with Enablon is highly desirable.
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Innovative mindset, strong execution capability, and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
